Former Fleurieu Member - David Morgan makes his FINA mark
David Morgan, an Australian Dolphins Swim Team Member, was once a Fleurieu Swimming Club Junior swimmer, coached by Scott Beringen. Scott guided and mentored him as an inexperienced but keen 10 year old, through the start of his career. David now trains on the Gold Coast in Queensland with his coach Chris Nesbit at the TSS Aquatic Club.
Sometimes known as "Red Dave" because of his trademark red hair, which stands out when swimming without a cap, is the current Australian Short Course title holder for 100m butterfly.
David recently competed in The World Championships in Kazan, Russia and won a Silver medal in the 4 x100m Men’s Medley Relay, swimming the butterfly leg. David then went on to swim at the World Cup Series in Moscow and then at Chartes in Paris, where he collected himself a Bronze medal in the 200m Butterfly behind Olympic Champion Chad Le Clos.
Fleurieu Swimming Club and his many Fans follow and support his success via his Facebook page “David Morgan - Fans” and his instagram at “@david_morgan_swimmer”.
CONGRATULATIONS DAVID - this is a fantastic achievement! We look forward to following your successes in the years to come! Well done ~ from all your Fleurieu followers.
