Scott Beringen - Head Coach
The Fleurieu Swimming Club is very fortunate to have South Australia’s leading coach, Scott Beringen as our head coach. Scott has an extensive background in swimming, coaching and leadership and provides our swimmers with top quality training, leadership and direction in all aspects of swimming and physical well-being. Scott holds a silver Coaching licence through the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme.

Tony Hall - Assistant Coach
Background In Swimming
After joining the Fleurieu Swimming Club as a 7 year old in 1995, Tony has been a member ever since. He has a great passion for the sport, and an even greater one for the club. During his time at Fleurieu Swimming Club, Tony has:
- Represented the state in SAPSASA in 1997, 1998 and 1999 as a 9, 10 and 11 year old respectively
- Qualified for his first National Age Championships in 2000 as a 12 year old
- Competed in the 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 National Age Championships, consistently making finals
- Broken two state records at the age of 15 in the 200 metre butterfly
- Short Course – 2:06.67
- Long Course – 2.09.64
- Qualified for the Australian Open Championships in 2003, 2004, 2005
- Been Vice-Captain for two years at the age of 12 and 13
- Been Captain for five years at the age of 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18
- Been awarded Life Membership in 2006 for his continued service to the club
Coaching
Tony has been coaching at Sherriffs Road Swimming Centre and for the Fleurieu Swimming Club since 2004. In this time he has obtained his Austswim qualification with the Towards Competitive Strokes module, as well as his Bronze Coaching qualification through ASCTA. In the near future he will be looking to complete his Silver qualification.
Tony is the current Head Coach of the Junior Squad and along with Scott is the coach of the Development Squad.
