Squads
Performance Squad
The Performance Squad is the main training squad at the club. Within this squad there are two sub-groups. They are
- National Age Target Squad
- State Age Target Squad
Requirements for membership of the Performance Squad and inclusion in the sub-squads are available on request from the coaches of the club.
Development Squad
The Development Squad is the linking squad between the Junior Squad program below, and the Performance Squad. Further information about this squad is available from the coaches of the club.

Junior Squad
The Junior Squad is the first squad at Sherriffs Road Swimming Centre, and is the usual pathway into the club's squads. Its primary focus is to ensure a high level of stroke efficiency and skill development. It has three levels of progression that need to be achieved before a swimmer is promoted to the Development Squad.
Level 1
This first level focuses on stroke development within a squad environment, learning to swim as a lane, reading the pace clock, leaving gaps between swimmers whilst maintaining a high standard of technique and skill development.
Level 2
The second level again focuses on stroke development at a higher standard, with an emphasis on stroke dives, turns and finishes. It also incorporates aerobic fitness and stamina as part of the program.
Level 3
The final level of Junior Squad, where the swimmer has learnt to consistently swim with a high standard of skills and technique. It focuses on fine tuning each individual stroke, the swimming of Individual Medleys and increasing the stamina ready for the transition to our next squad, the Development Squad.
Junior Squad sessions are offered three times per week
Monday & Wednesday 6.30 PM- 7.30 PM
Friday 6.00 PM - 7.00 PM (half hour earlier)
Tony Hall is the head coach of Junior Squad, and is assisted by several other coaches at each of the three sessions.
